Pros
FixMeStick has changed so much since I had first started. They really managed to turn things around, and by the time that I left it really felt like they found the right formula and still going strong!
Here are just some of the things I noticed that changed drastically since I worked there:
- The salary has been reviewed and now the salary offered is on par with the work being done and skills required.
- They are offering basic health benefits and the option to join the group retirement program.
- This might be a silly point to bring up but they really refreshed the look of the office by bringing in more plants.
I really enjoyed the colleagues I worked with, recent graduates trying to find out what they would like to do with the rest of their lives. It felt good being part of such an accepting and supportive team!
Finally, there's room to grow if you are willing to learn and try new things. There's a lot of Learning opportunity at FixMeStick you just have to show initiative and eagerness to grow.
Cons
Because it's a startup there isn't a lot of bureacracy, which could be a good thing for some. But it also means that things can change quickly. It is definitely a fast-paced environment and you have to be quick to adapt.
The work comes in waves as others have explained even within one day it can go from very busy to quiet.
