Pros

Using comprehensive business and technical knowledge, the PO accompanies the entire development process starting from the requirements definitions, planning phase, through the development and testing process to successful deployment to our Service. The PO works closely with the Development Team, Product Management, Professional Services and Technical Writers.

Cons

As Product Owner (PO) am a member of the extended Product Management team and crucial member of the Agile Team. I am owning the Team/Sprint backlog representing the single source of truth and is the single point of contact to the Dev team and Customer team for user story details. My responsible for defining and refining user stories and prioritizing the Agile Team backlog to streamline execution of product (program) priorities while maintaining conceptual and technical integrity of features for the team. In this capacity the PO remains highly available to the Dev teams during each iteration (sprint) to answer real time questions and provide clarity to user stories. I’m also drives user story refinement activities ensuring Team backlog contains 2 iterations worth of 'ready' work for Dev team. These two functions are critical to enabling Dev teams to improve and maintain high velocity/productivity in iteration (sprint) execution.

Pros

Have carved out a unique niche in the wireless data industry. Have a relatively good product - although they do struggle with quality issues. They also have some very intelligent and competent people working both here in the US and in their home office in Israel.

Cons

Surprised by the nice things said about US mgt team. I found them to be extremely arrogant and expected employees to work 60+ hours a week with NO work/life balance. The management team in Israel seems to constantly struggle to find their place in the telecom industry - they even joking refer to themselves as a 18 year old startup.
