Pros

Like any tech company it seems great from the outside and for the first few months. Decent benefits, decent in office perks.

Cons

No promotion, no room for growth. They signifigantly underpay staff and don't create environments for conversations to correct. Start up that only cares about executives and treats other employees poorly. Constant leadership change-over so direction, SOP's and opportunity for promotion are never created or communicated. Constant change-over once employees learn that there is no direction and no promotion and the cycle continues. Avoid this place.

Pros

Flock has made a massive investment in the go-to-market team HQ'd out of Boston, with the focus to put the right people and team in place to grow the business exponentially The leadership team each have a proven track record of professional success and more importantly, after getting to know each of them, have a dedication to growing your personal career as well. Each employee is given tremendous amounts of autonomy to experiment, build and grow Team collaboration isn't going anywhere and Flock has already positioned itself to be a major player in the space - time to execute!

Cons

As with any startup, the path has not been laid yet so there are the obvious growing pains - running into situations we haven't seen yet

Pros

Pto, healthcare, snacks, definitely not the location. Who puts an office in Encinitas?!??

Cons

These comments defending flock are hilarious and such an obvious campaign from the employees that have been spared being laid off, so far, are told to post something. Everything about flock being deceptive to their employees, customers, and carriers couldn't be more true. This is a brokerage pretending to be a tech company to try to generate more value because Oren is trying to sell as fast as possible at this point. But now that his narcissism and wild all hands have been called out, I hope everyone realizes this is not a company to invest anymore money in. Don’t like work life balance? Are you a “bad” teammate? Do you think you’re working at an actual tech startup? This is not the place for you. Cause it’s just a brokerage. The dreaded “B” word, “brokerage”. And they’re not even good at that. The C suite won’t address the fact they don’t have any runway cause their service is terrible and they can’t guarantee their shared truckloads. Their “tech” is decades behind anything you can find in the app store which is crazy since they’ve paid IT professionals hundreds of thousands of dollars but took it out on the seasoned logistics professionals they brought on board to help them navigate through the current market. They brought in one of the best with CP but don’t seem to be listening to him. I’m assuming cause Oren thinks he knows better for some reason. He, Oren, is the sole reason this venture will fail and I hope he knows that. I assume he doesn’t and won’t since his all hand messages are some of the most narcissistic speeches I’ve ever heard. He espouses transparency but lays off 40% of the company, most of which are the ones with experience that got flock to where it is, and then tells freightwaves it’s only 8%. Who are they trying to fool?!? The most telling part is the people they didn’t lay off, the people from the beginning, the yes men. They laid off the ones they brought in with actual understanding of the industry and have been in the industry, established their most successful SOPs, everyone who disagreed with their outlook was laid off. I’ve never truly rooted for a company to fail and I love most of the people I worked with on a daily basis. But the “management” and director that are still there literally have no idea what they are doing. But Oren does not deserve any acknowledgement for this monstrosity he brought about due to his lack of respect for the people that actually built it to where it got. .
