Pros

Fitness friendly environment. Onsite cafeteria allows you to quickly grab lunch and bring it back to your desk to continue working on your project.

Cons

There is a high employee turnover rate. In addition, it is hard to get things done; a lot time and energy is spent on in-fighting between departments. "Work-life balance" is talked about from time to time but they don't do anything substantive about it. FPL does not take care of their employees!

Pros

Annual reviews and raises. The salary pay rate is excellent. They provide a pension. The health benefits are pretty good, not the best but better than decent.

Cons

It’s a slaughter house in IT. Terrible culture in IT. They work you to the bone. They are never enough people to do the job and as a result it is incredibly stressful. The current senior IT management has destroyed the once phenomenal environment. They take and take from you and just when you think there’s nothing left for you give they find a way to take more. They make an art out of squeezing every last drop of dignity and energy from their IT employees. It is now a culture of meetings, politics and valueless exercises. There is no remote work allowed even for roles that don’t require meeting in person. I come into the office and spend much of my day on virtual meetings with colleagues at other offices. Do not work here unless you can tolerate a highly toxic culture for good pay.
