Pros
The atmosphere is great. I was at worst friendly with every coworker I had. The only issues I ever really had with coworkers are with advisors being strongheaded and even that always ended on good terms. There can be long hours at times, as you work to service salespeople and there is constant change as the company grows. So some weeks a couple advisors may do phenomenal and you have to stay a few extra hours. Or a process/platform may change and you may have to spend an additional 5-10 hours a week to overcome the change, but it typically sticks to 40-45 hours a week. Additionally they are fairly relaxed on you going and doing something outside the office, such as letting your dog out, picking up a kid from school, running to pick up lunch, etc.
Cons
The owner can be unpredictable at times and it often feels like he thinks everybody is underperforming at all times, but he at least has a few upper level people under him that are great at tempering this. There is n expectation that you stay busy at all times which is fair for a growing company, but when your job often requires you to be quick with your core responsibilities it's hard to take on outside tasks without having advisors jump down your throat for not being quick because you were preoccupied. Generally this works out fine though, considering the advisor group is fairly forgiving. The pay is slightly below market rate and we have lost top employees to other companies for significant pay raises.
