Pros
As a person, CEO is generally nice.
Cons
Discussing anything related to business, it's a nightmare.
1. He's a person resistant to change, and when you attempt to convey your ideas to him, he isn't the kind of person to take them into consideration (and his ideas can be really bad). Consistent experience through several former employees. He wants his nose in every project when he doesn't have the time to afford to.
2. Inefficient working style. When he expresses interest to venture into a new project and requires help for work to do, he gives vague instructions on what he wants, with little regard for further discussion(s)/idea development at that point of time, expecting employees to start getting work done. And of course, when work is done for him, unsurprisingly, it is unsatisfactory based on what he wants (again refer to point 1) and it's on us employees. Considering how one would think is best and working based off it is hardly what he wants something to be (again because his ideas are so bad), we can take a couple of days to a week to finish a task that can easily be done in 1/3 of the time, if he is willing to go through a proper discussion in the initial stages.
3. A large portion of his time everyday is used to handle everyday operations. His other business projects cannot progress because he does not have the time to settle anything. Again, results in point 2. And point 1 is probably why he doesn't have a manager to help him.
