Not A Place You Can Grow Even If You Try - Paid Media Analyst Formerly Known As Employee Review

Pros

They have a knack for hiring some of the best people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Also having access to educational resources from Publicis is a great thing to have.

Cons

They have no concept of communicating to their employees things they should know. In a short span of 7 months I saw two rounds of layoffs occur, both having my director and two supervisors overseeing my work be let go without informing me, my adjacent team or any of our clients. In addition, it was expected to take up additional work to make up for this. Despite being willing to do so, they would not even consider an increase in pay or a promotion. I've had to work extensive hours to make deadlines set up by the very people who would not communicate with me whether my job was in jeopardy or not. It doesn't help when a VP is doing the same job for an entirely separate Publicis agencies at the same time and never has time to deal with internal issues or communicate in a timely manner.

Pros

I have worked here for a while - where I've been provided a place to grow at points.

Cons

Over the past 2 years the leadership and vision has been questionable, and seems that we're really just trying to stay afloat. Decisions appear to be reactive, talent is lacking (both day-to-day and leadership), and we just don't know our core capabilities as an agency - or at least we're in denial. Denial that we cannot see we're not as "innovative" as we lead on and what we do best is content strategy and creative but want to present ourselves with being more technology and data led - which we just are not.
