Co-workers are smart, kind, caring

I was not comfortable with the political culture.

Amazing co-workers. Smart, dedicated, kind, and hard-working. Amazing clients and client work. Remote culture.

Lack of career growth. It was common for co-workers to have a certain amount of workload and level of expertise that didn't match the job title/career level they deserved. Lower market salary range, but that's typical with any agency, I suppose. Too low-security for comfort. Layoffs are like candy here. At the time of my departure, layoffs were occurring every other month, it felt like. They were too often and seemingly random. This company went from a couple hundred to the tens (think 90-80 people now) in 2.5 short years. Some have left on their own because the workload consequences became too much, too heavy, and too soon after the layoffs. Others have left because their team lead had quit and that team lead was simultaneously the load-bearing support beam and the canary in the coal mine.
