Pros

easy work for good money. Very attractive young females get quick promotions.

Cons

The work being done here should be verified by people with actual PHD's. I witnessed the director take a plate that was accidently thrown away, out of the biohazard trash and run it. The plate was uncovered and discarded as one of the wash plates. Data was still used from this run which contained 95 patient samples. I could not believe what I was seeing!! Anyone considering these services should do their homework and review the company.

Foundation Medicine takes all feedback and complaints seriously, no matter what their source, including postings on social media. Where that feedback involves complaints about our lab practices and services or our employment practices, we will investigate all allegations of which we become aware. After a thorough investigation of all elements alleged in this posting, we found that none of these allegations had any merit. Our overarching duty is to our patients, and we are committed to maintaining excellence in all of our lab operations and services and, as the head of FMI’s Cambridge lab operations, I invite anyone to reach out to me at tperez@foundationmedicine.com with any concerns. -- Tony Perez, VP, Lab Operations

Pros

Competitive salary, great benefits, work/life balance.

Cons

The organization constantly goes through changes with senior leadership. It pivots time and time again in an effort to get ahead of its competition only for the execution to fall short. This lack of vision and effective strategy leads to consistent layoffs, creating an uncertain environment where you never know if you’ll be next to get laid off. Lastly, certain departments love to play favorites - if you’re not one of them, good luck finding an opportunity to grow in your career.
