The company struggled with transparency regarding hiring commitments and long-term talent strategy. At the time of my hire, I was promised H-1B visa sponsorship; however, when the registration period arrived, the company declined to proceed, citing performance concerns and deferring sponsorship to the following year.
The underlying situation was that I was hired as the sole Industrial Engineer following the departure of a predecessor who had exhausted their H-1B eligibility. Crucially, the company hired this former employee back almost immediately after I joined. At that time, he was still in India and was brought back before the company could have realistically evaluated my performance or expertise. It became clear that the decision to prioritize him for sponsorship as a "seasoned" asset had been made before I even had the opportunity to prove my value. Following this shift in strategy, I was sidelined from critical projects and reassigned to tasks that did not require my engineering expertise, leading to a role that was no longer aligned with the company’s original requirements or my professional skill set.
