Pros
Fun workspace, very open and easy to collaborate. SO millennial and trendy- doing things like free yoga, DIY sharpie mugs, a nacho bar, and a state of the art made to order free Starbucks machine. The benefits package is great, lots of flexibility with PTO, work from home options, and very casual laid back atmosphere. TLDR: the best thing is the free snacks, cool group activities, the freedom to wear basically whatever you want and take a work from home day if you need to.
Cons
You will get burnt out, quickly. Because there's no growth path, they don't utilize their employees specific skill sets because they don't value their employees as unique individuals- you're all replaceable and easily dispensable, there's nothing you can do that they can't hire someone else to do and take your spot in 5 seconds (they do this all the time) I was there for 6 months and I watched my department lose 12 people and get 12 more. That's about 1 person fired one person hired every 2 weeks (pay day). I kid you not. I also asked to be more involved, took a lot of initiative and proved myself in a lot of ways to be valuable but was given no opportunity to grow or actually contribute where I offered the most expertise. THERE IS NO TRANSPARENCY FROM HIGHER UPS. 21 of us just got laid off with zero notice, zero indication that we had to worry, zero severance, and zero apologies. Like I said you👏🏼are👏🏼dispensable, and they will treat you like that. JOB SECURITY DOES NOT EXIST HERE.
