Pros
They have a 401k match, plus a years of service contribution. Other than that, there's nothing positive about this place.
Cons
History of bad decision making, complete secrecy from higher ups, NO transparency at all. Company often makes major decisions and doesn't inform staff until the very last minute. Company has a history of saying one thing and doing the opposite the next week, there's no consistency or communication about anything. If you aren't in the the "boys club" there, you're a robot in a chair that will always be replaceable. There is no support, motivation or positive atmosphere. You are frowned upon if you chat with your coworkers, they basically want you to sit at your desk all day and not talk to anyone. Raises suck, (IF you get one). Yearly performance bonus is pretty much non existent (unless you're an executive then you easily pull in a few million a year). It's a do as i say not as i do environment with an executive board company wide (Franklin Electric included) that lacks any type of diversity and it's a very old school traditional white man environment. They don't like change, and any type of idea you throw out there will never be good enough (especially if you're a woman). Very small room for advancement if you aren't in the "club" and no matter how much extra work you take on they don't care. Higher ups will avoid work that is "beneath" them at all costs, and some will even throw actual temper tantrums refusing to do work that is beneath them. In 2019 they had over 530 temps START in the manufacturing plant, and less that 40 stayed into 2020. They treat their plant employees like scum at the bottom of a bucket with LOW pay in a NON air-conditioned plant with machines running thousands of degrees hot. I would avoid this place at all costs, even as a last resort.
