Pros

free meals large, clean kitchens generally pleasant coworkers

Cons

-they seem to hire large amounts of very young, part-time workers, and then fire them right before 3 months, seemingly to avoid granting them the benefits of working longer then 3 months. -since they don't need to give a reason for firing before 3 months, they'll fire you for anything they feel like, including just not liking your personality. watching people get fired without reason makes you feel paranoid that managers are gossiping about you and watching your every move. -maybe since most of their kitchen workers are so young and go through so fast, the more seasoned workers and assistant managers seem comfortable harassing and being abusive towards them. I was disgusted at how vicious many of them were towards workers who made simple mistakes. This made the kitchen environment very tense and unpleasant. -on a similar note, there was a lot of micromanaging, as though the management did not trust their workers to be motivated by anything but fear of repercussion. -i was hired at the same time as a few white, male workers, whom i saw promoted to line before me, though they mostly smoked weed outside and talked while i took on the brunt of the work. - i never got a full half-hour meal break, as required by law! there is a weird, unwritten expectation that you should take 10 to 15 minutes, if you take longer you get passive-egressive comments like 'that was a while' or 'where have you been?". This isn't terribly uncommon in work places, but for a business that claims to be 'ethical' it was somewhat funny. All in all- I've worked a number of strange jobs in my life, but I've never dreaded coming to work before because of the sheer unpleasantness of the atmosphere.

Pros

Great co-workers, flexible schedule and one free plate in the shift.

Cons

A lot of staff turnover and absenteeism, so always they have to train new people and that makes to feel old coworkers are having more work with the same incentives. No meetings and feedback to the staff, no work climate assessment and no recognition of antiquity at work.
