Disorganized Company. Unprofessional Management. - Junior Graphic Designer Frette Employee Review

My experience working here has to be my worst. As a contracted employee, hired on a freelance basis, HR and management would often exercise this excuse to their benefit until it did not suit them. Onboarded with no real training, seeing as my direct senior colleague had resigned due to a poor experience as well. I was given unclear directions, with unrealistic deadlines constantly...failure to meet expectations would often end in being unprofessionally reprimanded by an emotionally unstable supervisor on the design team. Whom spread office gossip and bad mouthed fellow employees, something of which had become a team norm. Terrible employee management all around, HR refused to pay me if I decided to attend office holiday party, for the few minutes one would do so. Refusal to even allow a vacation day. Was never provided necessary materials needed to actually work, resulting in usage of my own, although I submitted ignored requests constantly. Regularly forced to work outside my assigned hours, without overtime pay. Failure to follow COVID regulations at all in the work place, forcing employees to come in regularly. Seeing as I was a contracted employee, one of my rights included terminating my contract on a "at will basis", something freelancers often exercise. My short notice resignation was met with an unprofessional altercation by my supervisor, that left me bewildered. In conclusion, before beginning my position I had read all the negative reviews here on Glassdoor and chose to give it a chance. Poor decision on my behalf, not worth the months of stress for chump change.
