Pros
Good insurance if you're on the older contract. Unionized so they can't fire you if you've been with the company for many years and bring in a new employee and give them less benefits and wages for doing the same job.
Cons
Different tiers for employees depending on how long you've been with the company. Too much micro managing. Not practicing what they preach. Lack of communication on procedures. Managers not following how things are supposed to be done. Not having enough hours for your dept. Being lied to by upper manament. Worked hard to get the position I have as a scanning back-up but now I am classified as a "tag hanger" and my hrs. for that dept have been cut in half and I have to scrounge for hours in other dept to get my 40 hrs. I used to enjoy going to work but not anymore and if I didn't have almost 16 yrs with the company I would look for employment elsewhere.
