Pros
- Your close colleagues are nice people - The office is pretty decent although badly located (relevant for all locations) - The products are good with a lot of potential - Nobody's accountable for anything, so you can really slack off most of the time and blame the delay on whatever you want.
Cons
- Nobody's accountable for anything. - Product planning is basically inexistent despite extremely heavy processes and project management. - One of the founder says it best: Furrion never launched a product on time. - Us versus them mentality is deeply rooted into the middle management team. (HK vs US) - Some middle manager are promoted/trusted based on their friendship with top management. Not based on their leadership or achievement. - Incredible level of instability. You never know when someone (and yourself) will get fired. - Total lack of transparency. The top management will tell you things are going great, the growth is healthy but next day they will lay off a bunch of people. - Terribly poor marketing culture. No budget and managed by non-creative people with no understanding of product marketing and creative process. - Extremely high turnover with basically no replacement/handover. - HR team is not and Human resources team. They only manage resources that can be thrown away, not humans.
