FEV, future energy ventures, was newly formed and thus has a bunch of nice young team member that are energetic and willing to learn and bring in their skills.

The big con though, are certainly the managing directors. I experience them as totally opaque and not transparent at all and even dishonest and sometimes abusive; making promises and assurances and then suddenly having forgotten about it all together. If you want to criticize them or give feedback, don't. They won't take criticism or even just negative feedback at all. Everything you say or do that's not in their line of thinking, they take as a personal attack and react accordingly emotional which of course, does not help to solve problems or create a work atmosphere that is empowering or just nice. They seem to have a deeply rooted lack of empathy for people and their situations. They have their plan, whatever it looks like, and whoever can't follow this plan is out. The managing directors probably are also the main cause why so many of the team members are leaving and have left already. So, if you thought this company looks interesting, think twice.

Having a job with a purpose in a mission driven company. The decarbonization mission is ingrained throughout the organisation and the investment process which means if having positive impact on climate is what you seek, there is great opportunity for that within the firm. Lots of flexibility, allowing for a good work-life balance even in busy times. Also focus on having fun together and supporting each other. Diverse team spread out internationally, but with a HQ in Berlin - means FEV benefits from diverse perspectives and a global network

An international team of course means there are colleagues you don't see as often as you might wish, only over online calls. Coming together in Offsites several times a year helps, but it is still something to be aware of.
