The company has proven to misrepresent what is expected of employees during my short employment window. During interview all candidates were told by the owner we could take as many breaks as we wanted or needed just that we needed to have the truck emptied in ten hours. He also stated he would work with everyone on performance but wouldn't deal with safety violations. I have been put on standby twice now within 7 days for "performance" while employees arriving 20 and 30 minutes late are allowed to work. These decisions come from a dispatcher/general manager who never shows face at the warehouse and is just a voice on the phone. A lead driver is made to perform coaching a with drivers who have poor performance. As a result I do not get to work my entire scheduled shift and lose money which is in direct contradiction to what the owner said during interview. They are NOT working with me because they are not allowing me to work. Routes change everyday and the imperfect system is unreliable so new drivers can easily get lost and have to change directions. Even voicing the issues at the time they occur and explaining why the route is being delayed will not protect your livelihood at this DSP. If you are not sacrificing your breaks and running from stop to stop, you will be put on standby and I do t recommend anyone try to work here because they don't have any concern for people in my position. Nothing was offered to help me improve and all of my direct questions about what I should expect in the future were met with non commital hypotheticals or simple reiterations of how decisions were made. Even trying to appeal to the human side of leadership had no effect.
