Leaving Secondary School with strong A-Level grades and choosing an Apprenticeship over a University degree was a difficult decision. For me, I wanted the chance to prove myself in a growing organisation, whilst getting the necessary qualifications and experience. Whilst I was a Marketing Apprentice at Freedom, a GCI Company, I had many unbelievable experiences and did things that simply would not be possible at University. Freedom joined the GCI Group in January 2017 and since then I've successfully completed my Apprenticeship and Marketing Degree with GCI's help. On completion of my Apprenticeship I was offered a full-time role at GCI, with added responsibility and opportunity. GCI have provided me with the perfect platform to push on in my career and the responsibility I get is very refreshing, learning new things everyday and getting involved in a variety of Marketing campaigns and initiatives with industry leading partners like Microsoft, Aruba and Enghouse Interactive. Today, just over a year in to my full-time role, I can safely say an Apprenticeship was the best career decision I've made. GCI are growing fast and are making waves across the UK, Headline Sponsoring Microsoft Future Decoded, acquiring fantastic companies like Blue Chip and adding big name customers frequently. If you are ever offered an Apprenticeship at GCI, take it!
