      Pros

      Dynamic global industry. Ability to reach across multiple functions and contribute equally. Aside from the healthcare coverage very good comp and benefits. Process focused work culture. Strong volunteerism but only for GE sponsored events.

      Cons

      Leadership is the wrong term - it is management. Plenty of managers but few leaders. Not very welcoming and friendly to those who come into GE Aviation from the outside (external hires) or even from other GE businesses. Extremely limited opportunity to advance unless you rise up and enter through Corporate Audit Staff. Meritocracy GE is not.

      Permissive PTO, Great benefits, Great management. Flex Hours

      Cons

      To big for its own bridges. Grew to fast and cut the little guy like me.

      Pros

      -Easy internal transfers to learn new components of the engines -Good benefits and hybrid schedule -Ability to travel -Ability to move between engineering groups during downturns on projects

      Cons

      -High attrition and turn over rate for experienced engineers and managers due to company needs in different sections -Lack of access to mentors -Movement towards outsourcing of roles to out of country (USA) -Depending on role, you will be working extra hours and weekends to meet delivery
