Pros
GE Healthcare is great place to start as a young engineer. There are many opportunities for compensation for education expenses and my managers have been understanding when I need to take leave for an exam. The medical benefits are very good and the salary is very competitive, especially given the current economic environment. If you do a good job you can be assured of your job security. The projects I have worked on have been rewarding, which keeps work from becoming monotonous. I actually enjoy coming to work most days.
Cons
Because it is a big company, it is easy to get lost in the crowd as you scale the corporate ladder. I did not think location would be an issue, but Waukesha, WI gets really cold in the winter!
