Not bad - Teacher, Secondary School GEMS FirstPoint School Employee Review

I worked part time as I was still studying at university. Great organisational culture, always working with other teachers to get the best results for the students. I definitely felt like the teachers truly cared for students education but also imparting values on them during crucial stages of their lives. My supervisor was always available when I needed to discuss. While I did not have any formal training, I was always good with children and it helped that I was closer to their age than the teachers. Yet, the teacher would always advise me when required or whenever I sought help.

Potentially the salary but I was inexperienced, untrained and part time so I can't really complain.

The usual, If you are a Teacher you get the perks of housing,medical and holidays etc, good friendly staff, The SLT tries to make active efforts to help staff.

The management is often handling far too much and this makes the environment extremely stressful for the employee, especially the teachers; heavy time tables,Admin contracts are terrible with no holidays, housing or pay increases, TAs are sometimes underappreciated.
