Awful company, thankfully they sold the business - Store Auditor GPM Southeast Employee Review

Pros

It was good entry level work, but you were required to clock out and eat (and work, off the clock) and you always had to clock out immediately at 5pm, and finish your work unpaid, until job was done. Minimum wage (and I worked here in 2007) at the time ($7.25/hr) with absolutely no benefits whatsoever. We didn’t have permission to use the fountain drink dispenser, and the only thing I ever remember getting free was expired chewing tobacco from their gas stations. Can you imagine this type of working conditions happening today? Thankfully greed made the family sell the corporation and they got out before having to own up to how they treated everyone beneath them, the EZ Mart Elite!

Cons

Everything there was a con. Out of business, so not applicable.

Pros

You can quit whenever you want.

Cons

LOW pay. You will be hired as part time then told to work 40 - 60 hours a week for minimum wage. the schedule will change daily, dont bother with any life plans, this is your life. They will have you work on the day you should be off and tell you to take off on a different day, then will call you on your new day off and tell you your supposed to be there and you have to come in. Lazy management that are not cut out for their position. Lack of management communication. Did i mention Low pay? Also they want you to sell certain promotional items and if you dont maintain 3% sales, you could lose your worthless job. The way many of the employees maintain this quota is by scanning the promotional items instead of what customers are actually purchasing. "this item is the same price as what you are buying so I will scan this promotional item to make my numbers." Management supports this method, I wonder if corporate does?
