Pros
Good pay for an easy job, don’t take your work home with you and good benefits such as free travel and defined benefit pension
Cons
Annual leave is pretty rigid difficult to book days off and must have block leave in certain periods. Difficult to progress in my experience despite many attempts at applying for train driver or many other roles. Shift work takes a toll on the body especially as you never get used to the shifts as they always change
