Pros

* CEO takes patient safety and regulations seriously * CEO does listen to counter-arguments. Though, a bit of a Con is that he may yell at you first, but eventually takes your argument to heart * Company is supportive of the latest hardware and workspace comfort * There is good movement within the company if you can last more than a year

Cons

* Hypocritical messages. CEO boasts in the interview about how many people have worked at the company longer than 5 years, but only a few have. Most people leave within the first 3 months. * There's boasting about an unlimited PTO policy, but unless you're one of the privileged few who have been there a few years, you'll probably only see a week PTO. This applies to the "work-life balance" as well. I found myself working 10-12 hour days for weeks on end and was yelled at for coming into work "sleepy". * Everyone gets bullied at one point in their tenure here (see turnaround). * CEO only listens to the privileged few's advice, despite their general lack of experience. * Underpaid for the effort expected out of you. Hired for a support position? Good, expect to become an SQL Database Administrator and networking engineer for the same price * Company has barely grown in 20 years. Red flag I should've raised in interview was that the company was still under 20 employees despite its age.

You are right in that our expectation is that every employee at Gaia treat their employment as a profession and not just a job. We do expect everyone at Gaia to become subject matter experts (“SME’s”) in their respective job role. At Gaia, we work hard at keeping a collaborative work environment that is built on hard work and working together as a team. We stand by putting people first including our employees and customers. We value each and every employee and promote continued career growth within each role. We wish you success in your next career path.

Pros

I have been working at Gaia for almost three years now and since the time I came on board we have added more than 10 new employees and are continuing to fill new seats on an almost monthly basis. It is very exciting to be a part of a company with so much growth potential. We also just had our annual company Christmas party, and I truly love being part of such a close-knit group of people all working toward a common goal. It really is like we're family.

Cons

Really the only downside that I can think of is that we have so many ideas that we are working on, I just wish there were more hours in the day so we could get there faster!
