Pros
Free drug rep lunches ?! Idk
Cons
Extremely toxic work environment. Starting at the top level - Office Administrator, Medical Director, Anesthesia Medical Director - to continue with the office manager. Employee high turn over rate. No training, orienting, guidance, nor support from the superiors. Watch your back if you don’t agree with the local upper management, they will avoid you at all costs and make sure you fail at your job and then report to their superiors that you have ‘performance issues’ There’s no sense of infection control protocols - they just don’t want to follow it due to costs. There are all these unspoken responsibilities and unspoken expectations. They don’t set the tone from the beginning with the rest of the practice on who you are and your role within the company. It’s their way or the highway. The administrator lacks knowledge on how to run a medical office Employees do not respect upper management. They fear them. They fear losing their job if they disagree or speak up about something. I witnessed ‘hazing’ in the workplace, for a minute I thought I was back in college trying to get initiated into a club. Always thinking about money and not wanting to lose any. Gossip. Drama galore. Upper management makes fun of every employee there, including Providers. Very very sad. They are running a sh!t show in there.
