Pros
I can make my own schedule. Typically, I get started around 8 in the morning and work primarily from home. If I don't have appointments scheduled, I can run erronds during the day when I need to. I can take off when I need to.
Cons
Being self employed means there are no benefits. There is no retirement, no insurance, no paid vacation. If you don't work, you don't get paid. Expect to work alot of evenings and weekends.
