Pros

no skills required, they wont care, just tell them you like selling things and can fix printers.

Cons

The job comes with low pay that often doesn’t feel worth the hustle, especially given the high-pressure sales environment. Field techs are constantly pushed to upsell tech and equipment to clients, with penalties looming if sales goals aren’t met. Management feels out of touch, creating a huge disconnect between leadership and the people actually doing the work. Hours are unpredictable, travel is long, admin time is usually unpaid, and the work can feel isolating. Despite a lack of available jobs, you’re still expected to stay on call and ready. Missing sales targets too often can quickly land you on a performance improvement plan, making the role even more stressful.

Pros

Lots of learning can be had and the ability to call and ask questions while in the field helps a lot. Lots of driving so get to enjoy music in between jobs

Cons

due to the nature of jobs, finish times can vary widely and be unkind, staff turnover is about 2 years. managers will try to force you to make sales goals and upsell clients to be more profitable, I don't really as it goes against me personally and I just want whats best but I miss out on bonuses due to my mindset. they will put you on "performance improvement plans" if you miss to many sales goals. due to being customer-based, it's very easy to have and and bad days depending on who you get sent to see, definitely have days where you feel like you don't get paid enough to put up with this, also from this nature you only see workmates about once a month in meetings

Pros

Good people to work with, mostly positive company culture. Good experience if you are interested in IT support.

Cons

Committed to low pay for employees. Slow custom CRM software. High maintenance Time Sheet system. High personal liability over tools and stock.
