Pros
One of the strongest positives about working at Geely was the brand reputation. As a globally recognized automotive company, Geely provided exposure to a high-profile, large-scale corporate environment, which was valuable for gaining insight into international business operations.
Cons
Unjust Employee Dismissals – Employees were frequently dismissed without clear justification, creating an unstable work atmosphere. Highly Political Workplace – The workplace culture was dominated by small internal cliques, making it difficult to focus purely on professional growth and contributions. Unfair Work Assignments – Many employees were given titles that did not match their actual responsibilities, leading to unclear job expectations and role mismatches. Lack of Genuine Training & Development – There was no structured training, and when training was provided, it was superficial and rushed, offering little real value. Unreasonable Workload & Late Hours – Despite working hard and frequently staying late, employees were often met with unnecessary challenges and criticism rather than recognition for their dedication. Constant Micromanagement & Problem Creation – Instead of fostering growth and teamwork, management often created obstacles and unnecessary difficulties for employees, regardless of their performance and commitment.
