Pros
I work in one of the smaller campuses. Overall, I'd say it's been a positive experience. Until recently I maintained full time status with regular hours and access to overtime when available. PTO policy is adequate, though can be difficult in scheduling at times. Tuition reimbursement is getting better and when I needed to drop to part time my manager was both reasonable and accommodating.
Cons
Getting reimbursement for CME's every 3 years is an unnecessarily difficult process. There is a bottleneck in lab as far as upward mobility, in the larger hospitals this doesn't seem to be as much of a deal but it can be difficult to look at doing the same thing day in and day out for 10+ years before consideration for any kind of promotion if you want to stay in the same location.
