Pros
I joined the Genova team five years ago as part of a geographically separated team supporting the DoD. Even though I work halfway across the country, I have zero complaints about the company, my compensation, or my benefits. Mrs. Ainger, the CEO, is outstanding and very easy to reach. She personally participated in my last contract negotiation and saw to it that I was very well compensated for my contribution to the mission. She is the definition of a transparent and open leader. Furthermore, my direct administrative manager is only a phone call or email away and is very supportive of my dual role with both Genova and the Government. He, too, has been a strong advocate for both me and my team, and serves as an excellent conduit between our headquarters and my location. Lastly, the Genova staff members are top-notch, quickly resolving the few minor issues I have had in the last five years. Special kudos are due to Katie Lawler, Kathy Simmons, and Tom Morgan for keeping the wheels rolling across the country. One last benefit with Genova is the pay system. Employees are paid every two weeks, for 26 paychecks each year. This is far superior to other systems that pay either twice per month or, worse, once. I also get all federal holidays off plus up to two weeks of PTO, which increases annually. And, my 401k isn't too shabby, either.
Cons
None so far. I am very happy.
