Pros

My paycheck never bounced. I love my coworkers and immediate supervisor. I trusted my General Manager, other managers seemed fine too. However the upper management are only interested in themselves.

Cons

Upper management, Genuine Hospitality Group, informed all staff that the hotel would close within 1 week, and we would be unemployed. They could have chose to keep part of the hotel open, or give better notice, or communicate in a reasonable time frame. When the hotel opens after renovations, you're starting from scratch; their is no concern for current employees or future guests.

Pros

The company is run by a bunch of friendly people. Seems like they want you to grow and can move to other properties.

Cons

Only 6 days of PTO in your first year of working, no sick days or personal days. Only a high deductible health insurance plan offered. STD and LTD insurance pretty pricey and not included. No 401k. If you don't work ON the holiday, you don't get holiday pay. Every company I've been with gives you an extra day off with pay. I would say the 6 days of PTO is a joke.
