Pros
Job security is pretty much guaranteed as long as you continue to do at least average work (this is a pro for some people). Depending on which department you are in, your coworkers are more of your family away from family. The base pay is decent, and the yearly performance pay is top-notch. Most of the employees have a strong faith based value system.
Cons
There are no incentives to try to do better than average. The saying of "it's not what you know, it's who you know" was never more true than at this company (i.e. do an average job, but know all the right people and you are golden). There is too much of a focus on the leadership pipeline and not enough of development of employees in their current positions.
