      Pros

      Work life balance is good Freedom to work in own way Competitive pay and generous benefits Regular supervisions, 1-1 & support from direct management. Perceived growth of business in short period of time.

      Cons

      Set processes by various teams that do not work hollistically together. HR are very blunt, with both verbal and written messaging often open to perception of hostility and threatening. Hiring staff took 2 week long annual leave during recruitment process between interviews. Has business mentality in a social enterprise world, they will always inevitably clash and kind hearted staff will be compromised. No tangible career progression pathways due to contract by contract nature of business. Some middle managers are nice, others aren't and not enough done to keep good staff's culture. Promise of support into different roles within business after redundancy were false and not even offered interviews. Have gone to great lengths to project a performative image of themselves to would be candidates that seem at odds with the reality of the business ethos, which is actually very ruthless. When redundancies were announced, there's a sense upper management let middle management pick up the pieces with little clarity.

      Pros

      There is a wide variety of food places within a 5 minute walk of the office, making for excellent lunch breaks. The high turnover of staff means that you are always getting to know new people and possibly make new friends due to your shared experience at Get Set UK!

      Cons

      There is an extremely high staff turnover, which increased pressure on remaining staff and provided an inconsistent service to customers as most would not have a consistent employment advisor for more than 6 months. Poor communication from management is an issue, particularly during periods of change and insufficient support during staff shortages subsequently leads to increased workload and unnecessary stress for staff. Management are inconsistent in their practice and there is a severe lack of clear guidance as they seem to be making it up as they go along! There is little to no consideration for employee wellbeing, particularly during periods of sickness or mental health difficulties.
