Pros
Interesting work serving an interesting industry. Lots of great people. Small town charm. Better than average pay for most positions. Room to become an "artesian" in your field. They will generally work with you if you have personal issues at home that need time. Management tries to make things fun. They're not discriminatory in hiring.
Cons
Small town charm with big corporate trappings. Tolerance of *some* dishonest and incompetent people. Inconsistent willingness to change or improve products and processes. Some people try to improve things but key players block improvements. Absolutely flat pay scale. It's an open secret you get paid what all your co-workers get paid for the same role, though they make it sound like you're in line for a raise if you perform better. Never seemed to be the case, it's not negotiable, and half the managers will admit they have no control over their employees compensation. The other half deny this or avoided the subject. On the other hand, you generally get paid over market rate for your work.
