All the benefits of being in a union: better wages+benefits package, company provided power tools, pension, medical benefits, fair/equal pay according to your qualifications. Want more pay? Put in the hours and test up. Also vacation days. Paid holidays.

Relatively small family business in a small local, which means work can be unpredictable. But a lot of contractors are like that.
