Not bad but not great and very political - Regulatory Affairs Givaudan Employee Review

Pros

Some managers are great and are mentor-like. They have internal programs to build presentation, communication, and professional relationship skills. There is a gym on site free to use (which will hopefully open back up after covid gets better). Although it takes a long time they do have growth opportunities.

Cons

Old fashioned mindset of management: upper management can do as they please and everyone else, especially lower level workers, should do as told and not challenge or ask questions. Growth takes a long time or they simply promote people to prevent them from leaving (high turnover rate in the last few years). Upper management claims to care about employees opinion when in reality they don't: they make decisions then ask how everyone feels after it's done and get defensive and upset when people aren't necessarily happy about it. They refuse to acknowledge or see the problem which has caused high turnover rate. They think that just because they are back to a full headcount everyone is happy, this isn't the case. In fact, the atmosphere is so negative and attitudes so poor it affects those who do enjoy the work and have good managers. Management is pushing for return to normal before things improve with covid and don't care about special circumstances (i.e. high risk people or family members that live with employees) everyone must come in. I get this for those that absolutely cannot work from home, but if you can and have been working from home its an unnecessary risk. Just because some people prefer to work at the office, doesn't mean that works for everyone. There is no flexibility with working from home or to provide a some kind of work life balance. For some managers if you aren't at a senior level they don't give you any opportunities to prove you can do the work. This makes it harder for people to get promoted, unless a few people leave within a few months then they'll promote people who don't deserve it just to keep them. Other option is you have to wait for someone at a senior level to leave and apply for their job to get it.
