Pros

Smart people, currently iterating product fast

Cons

Poor leadership, very self serving, they only want to promote themselves and only care about optics they do not care about output but only input to make it look like youre doing busy work even though it does not relate to impact

Pros

- Mission-driven company solving a real customer need - Smart, capable teams who care about the work - Strong product-market fit and happy customers - Incredible customer list - Lots of opportunity to take ownership and drive impact - New CEO is leading the company in the right direction

Cons

- Strategic direction from leadership is still too vague, though it’s trending in the right direction - Too many competing priorities dilute focus and stretch teams thin - Decision-making can be slow and overly consensus-driven, which drags down execution speed - No 401k match

Pros

Remote-first culture was a double-edged sword. While it provides flexibility for working parents of younger children, the lack of opportunities to get to know colleagues created a low-trust environment and eroded the camaraderie needed to operate as one team with shared goals.

Cons

Gladly's competitive strength - being the platform that Customer Support humans prefer to use - is rapidly being rendered irrelevant in the era of increasingly powerful LLM's. Unfortunately, the company has not been able to build a strong enough Generative AI-based Agent capability to fight off competition from AI-first market entrants and will have a difficult time raising the additional cash required to remain competitive in the AI CX space for much longer.
