I found the onboarding to be systematic and supportive, both from HR and from my department manager and colleagues. Work-life balance is honored, and I am encouraged to manage my long commute with early arrival/departure and a couple days a week working from home.
Cons
I'm newish here, and it looks like we're working toward more cross-team collaboration, with clear steps being made... but we're not there yet. Employees who have been here longer than I talk about the rapid pace of change.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We are happy to hear your onboarding has prepared you with the knowledge you need and assisted you in being able to hit the ground running. Cheers to 2017 and what we can accomplish together this year!
Comfortable, empathetic culture that makes work a joy - each and every day. Strong sense of ethical fortitude toward customers, both internal and external.
Cons
Poor integration between development and production teams.
It's the best place to work if you like being treated like a child.
Cons
Don't believe the good reviews. Satcom Direct and their leaders have destroyed Gogo. The culture in Colorado has slowly been dismantled and replaced by a strict, militaristic style of managing and processes. Just when you think it can't get any worse, it does. Teams that were once cohesive and effective have been torn apart with reorganizations, resignations, and layoffs. Everyone answers to multiple micromanagers who do not know how to lead. Every 15 minutes of your day is examined and criticized. No talking, unless it's work related. Don't stop typing. Don't suggest improvements or question the roadmap, because SD does everything perfectly, even when they don't. Just follow orders and put on a happy face.
