Things can move slowly, and it sometimes takes a while to get decisions made. Communication between teams isn’t always clear, which can cause confusion.

Pleasant people to work with

- Company culture is very insulated - with limited access or desire for new opportunities and/or ideas - Misleading representation of transparency/open door policies. These are not extended to all employees but to those who have ability to gain audience with management on an authentic level. Words should be chosen carefully as gossip does permeate outside of private meetings. - Bloated middle management with both senior and middle management not having the experience outside of GOLDEN in roles which limits growth and innovation. - Uses the term ESOP to equate to a sense of employee ownership/decision making. Causes friction when decisions made by management are confusing to the other 80% of the employee owners. Reframing it as what it is, a retirement plan and not an opportunity for change would probably ease some of the tension. - Management makes confusing decisions that data does not support or with incomplete project assessment. - KPI/Goal are presented but vague, with no real metrics associated - employee cannot be informed on status of corporate goals if there is no measurement presented or no means of even knowing/seeing goals. - Culture is one of opacity and secrets - transparency was not part of my experience
