I worked at Goldman Sachs full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great brand, training, smart and collaborative colleagues who are always open to helping. Senior staff are always open to having a coffee to aid in your career development. There is some mobility to different locations and teams if you're excellent, and the business requires it. Good pay, and best-in-class benefits.

    Cons

The company is in a long decline like a corporate version of the Roman Empire - they've allowed barbarians inside the gates and it's newer policies are driving away the competent to firms who run tighter, more meritocratic ships and afford them more entrepreneurial opportunities. I have been working at Goldman Sachs full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great total comp Very professional at work but informal and friendly whenever possible Entrepreneurial and competitive environment, motivating and letting one aim for success

    Cons

Quite a lot of grunt work Long working hours to keep up with the opportunities given Cost cutting culture Not much travel opportunities

    Advice to Management

Please slow down with cost cutting - a decent coffee, a travel or two per year for those not seeing clients just to exchange with colleagues from different offices would be really binding.
