Pros

I was just a Customer Experience Specialist before but I was promoted to Manager in a short time so I’m really thankful to GovSpend for this career milestone. This is proof that the company promotes from within. I like that now, I am trusted to lead a team and that helps a lot in both my personal and professional development. Benefits are complete (health, insurance, etc. The company even pays for our gym membership. That’s how concerned they are and sees to it that employees are fit. We have company events sometimes to break from the daily grind. I get to work remotely so this is an added plus. Other perks: - Casual dress code. - Tools and training - Free food - Spiffs

Cons

Customer interface is rather complex. There are so many things to look out for. But that is true for any other job.

Pros

No pros at all. Run away

Cons

They struggle to renew customers. Renewal rate is laughable. Federal platform “fedmine” is a joke. It was made in 2004 and still looks that way. They don’t even have the most common contract vehicles that most federal contractors are looking for. Dibbs, nasa sewp, gsa ebuy are non existent. They patch holes by partnering with other firms for drafting bids or offering more gwac availability. Someone could potentially pay 3 different providers instead of taking the time to develop the product themselves. SLED data is solid, but not sustainable as customers don’t win many government contracts which is why the renewal rate is so low. Tenured reps are highly favored and get to work the best accounts.
