Pros
Compressed hours
Convenient office locations
Cons
Minimum 60% in the office, but no encouragement to actually interact with colleagues so banks of colleagues sat in the office on Teams calls
Pension is legal minimum and outright adversarial to any form of top up. Cannot tell you how awful management of pension contributions are (4% performance this year...)
Disingenuous bonus calculation, so little opportunity to earn a bonus which isn't clear when joining
Application of inflationary pay increase taking 6+ months to apply, and only available to colleagues in seat January 1st. I'll have gone more than 16+ months without any movement.
Extremely limited benefits package
Death in work benefit multiplier poor
Holiday allowance poor, and no where near comparable with civil servant counterparts
Most departments overrun with fast streamers who have bags of confidence, but little experience to support decision making
ADC model is just creating one size fits all colleagues, with little differentiation in approach, creating mono cultures of thinking and pretty awful team cultures, pickme culture everywhere
Little opportunity to develop in role, or gain access to other areas/projects to assist with career progression
Morale is incredibly low, it's a depressing environment to be in
