Pros

I grew with the company, starting in one department then quickly moved up. I loved working with some of my co-workers at that time and made some great friends there. With each position I moved into came with a slight raise but like most people feel in their job positions, never getting what you felt you were deserved.

Cons

Senior staff, under the CEO, were way too power hungry and not willing to hear what had to be said about changes or ideas that needed to be made or heard. Being made an example of, when leaving the company & then wanting to come back and being denied that opportunity when others that had left and came back was not fair. Understand that the company IS a utility with mandatory attendance during severe weather conditions even when the Mayor/Govenor declare a state of emergency and you live far away wasn't ever considered...you HAD to be there...not cool!

Pros

No pros what so ever.

Cons

This company and specifically the collections department have very little opportunity for growth, despite what may be promised during the hiring process. Honestly, it’s a circus. Non stop tasks are thrown at employees each day. And Goals are constantly increased so analyst can’t reach them. Employees who work hard and consistently perform well often find themselves stuck in the same position with no clear path for advancement. Promotions and opportunities never appear to be based on performance or merit. Management is one of the biggest issues. They have no clue. Favoritism is prevalent, and certain employees seem to receive special treatment, better opportunities, and more support than others. This creates a frustrating and discouraging work environment where many employees feel undervalued and overlooked. Morale suffers when performance and dedication are overlooked in favor of personal relationships and when there is little accountability for management and no transparency regarding career development. Communication from leadership is lacking, and employee concerns are not addressed. Management gets defensive when employees ask questions or disagree with their stupid decisions. Overall, it can be a VERY challenging place to build a longterm career if you are looking for fair treatment, professional growth, and strong leadership. Turnover rate is very high. Also, micro management is at an all time high. Would not even recommend this place to a college grad for entry level experience, if i could Put 0 stars, i would. For the sake of your mental health, stay far away.
