Pros

+ Last year the CEO literally gave away $1 million dollars amongst a bunch of employees to thank everyone for helping grow the business to a $1B company. It was something else; dozens and dozens of people were being called up to collect checks anywhere from 5k to 100k. It was life changing to many of my teammates. + Gym is awesome and lots of free classes or equipment if you want to do your own thing. It’s a great way to spend your time while you wait for rush hour to die down. + A lot of fun, spontaneous stuff; free lunches, events for charity, great team environment, great people to work with.

Cons

+ The term “fast-paced” has become a hollow catch phrase at so many companies, but I learned the true meaning of that word at Granite, one of the fastest growing companies out there. Some people are turned off by it, but it means every day is something new and exciting. + It’s a competitive place to work. The company is growing and moving fast and they promote from within, so there’s a lot of opportunity to be had, but they aren’t just going to give it away to anyone.

Pros

No pros what so ever.

Cons

This company and specifically the collections department have very little opportunity for growth, despite what may be promised during the hiring process. Honestly, it’s a circus. Non stop tasks are thrown at employees each day. And Goals are constantly increased so analyst can’t reach them. Employees who work hard and consistently perform well often find themselves stuck in the same position with no clear path for advancement. Promotions and opportunities never appear to be based on performance or merit. Management is one of the biggest issues. They have no clue. Favoritism is prevalent, and certain employees seem to receive special treatment, better opportunities, and more support than others. This creates a frustrating and discouraging work environment where many employees feel undervalued and overlooked. Morale suffers when performance and dedication are overlooked in favor of personal relationships and when there is little accountability for management and no transparency regarding career development. Communication from leadership is lacking, and employee concerns are not addressed. Management gets defensive when employees ask questions or disagree with their stupid decisions. Overall, it can be a VERY challenging place to build a longterm career if you are looking for fair treatment, professional growth, and strong leadership. Turnover rate is very high. Also, micro management is at an all time high. Would not even recommend this place to a college grad for entry level experience, if i could Put 0 stars, i would. For the sake of your mental health, stay far away.
