Pros
Colleagues support you a lot more than SMT. Little Gems is a nice little shop on the premises. close to town, so can walk there if you need to do things. Nice walk along the river side.
Cons
Expectations on staff. Teachers are paid less than they would be at school or uni but expected to do the same work. Marking, reports, evening classes, cover for colleagues when they are off with stress, plan and run classes, attend endless meetings, can only have cpd if it's free, more marking, pushed by incompetent line managers to achieve more in less time and for same money. No incentives, no benefits.
