Horrible Company To Work For!!!! - Pest Control Technician Greenix Pest Control Employee Review

Pros

The only good thing about this job is the technicians and some of the office staff. Most are hardworking, honest people that remain friends outside of work.

Cons

Due to Greenix being a smaller company, the owner is very much in contact with the technicians. You would think this would be a good thing, however, he is an extremely dishonest individual that lures new employees in with promises of many different benefits and the ability to climb the ladder. After over a year of service, very little that was offered to me and other technicians was actually delivered. And of course, nothing is ever put into writing, so there is no way to contest anything. The owner is simply out for himself and his seasonal sales crew (who all happen to be related or were very close friends prior to working for Greenix.) The method in which technicians are paid, who are all commission based, is never completely spelled out, even the office workers are clueless to it. None of your commission is tracked or in writing anywhere, so unless you keep very detailed records of what you sell, you never know if you're getting what you actually earned. Also, there is a policy in place that if a customer isn't happy with their service, the technician is sent back to do a re-service of whatever the customer wants, with no compensation. Often times in the busy season, you will have 4-6 appointments a day that are all re-services, so you often work many hours daily and get paid for none of it! During the busy spring and summer seasons, you can expect to work 6 days a week, 10-14 hour days. You receive zero benefits, overtime or 401K to top it all off.

Pros

There are no pros for the company.

Cons

They lie about everything. They explicitly stated there are no quotas, then turn around 3 weeks into the show say there are quotas. They promise $1,000 a week to show up and then say it is only if you meet those figures. They had the salesman going into explicitly No Solicitation zones without any permits, giving us the full legal liability. They promised us 2 bedrooms for every 4 people, then crammed people like cattle into 1 bedroom apartments for every 4 people.
