Pros
- Fantastic people - Opportunities for travel - Growing industry
Cons
- Lacks outside experience. Management are life long employees and have little experience. They tend to ignore industry standard practices due to ignorance and resort to “reinventing the wheel” - Often put employees in positions where failure is highly likely and offer little support - Reactive culture. constantly putting out fires rather than addressing root causes - poor compensation - terrible at maintaining a schedule. On time delivery is 0% (not an exaggeration. Actually 0%) - builds pressure vessels that do not adhere to ASME standards. - constant work safe violations - terrible treatment of manufacturing and hourly employees - terrible payroll. Slow expense reimbursement, income tax errors, vacation time errors, etc. just terrible. - product hasn’t evolves since inception. Same issues and design flaws have been repeated for years. - poor data management. No pdm for solidworks. Poor modelling practices. - poor product standardization - willing to send poor quality to customers and accepting to the downstream consequences. - many annoyed and disappointed customers - extremely slow to make change - employee burn out is very real Could easily keep going…
