Pros

Some of the best on site professionals (leasing & managing) work for this company. Beautiful properties in developing areas of RTP and NC. Monthly training held outside of office when required. Good support among the regional on site teams toward each other despite being stretched thin to help other properties. Quarterly events for the region.

Cons

Workforce is stretched thin at majority of locations. Minimal advancement (lateral movement options typically after 2 years) No workforce development in place for onsite positions (discouraged to seek educational advancement yourself outside of company offered training). No HR person within the region to expedite interview/new hire process. No strict adherence to training in the on site locations. You will often be asked to complete training while working in the office. Depending on the season and the amount of traffic it can sometimes be impossible to compete training during business hours and you will need to complete this at home or in your free time. (non-paid) Regional/corporate pressence is not on site. (Quarterly visits --- maybe once a month) IT Support is overworked and not efficient as it could be to avoid onsite issues with residents.

Pros

-Great networking opportunities. -Good IT support. -Great benifits. -Great employee housing discount and housing opportunities. -Commissions will make your paycheck worth it.

Cons

-Management is broad and impersonal. You may feel like a number. -Your workload can be a lot at times. if you work well under pressure, you'd succeed here. -The leasing season is not year round meaning you will have slow months and you will have good ones. Save in the good months to get through the slow ones. -High turnover. Resilience will get you far. -It's rare that you get your weekends at a company like this.
