Groendyke Transport Response
10yThank you for taking the time to voice your concerns. We are all deeply saddened by the loss of one of our drivers on Jan. 3, and it’s clear this tragedy affected you on a personal level as well. He was an instructor, a by-the-book, outstanding driver and person, and we are confident the other driver in the accident was at fault.
The terminal “explosion” in Liberal, Kan., on Jan. 12 was actually a fire, and its cause is still under investigation. Our deepest concern is for the well-being of the injured employees after what we believe will be proven as an unfortunate accident.
The tank truck industry, including Groendyke Transport, carries an immense responsibility to its customers, the general public and its employees. Our company is full of dedicated, serious people like you – from drivers to the front office and everywhere in between – who work long hours to meet the tremendous responsibility of hauling hazardous materials. Safety is our company’s primary value, and we have processes, procedures and systems in place to ensure all of us are held accountable.
I appreciate your concern, your feedback and the anonymity of Glassdoor. If you have further concerns, I’d be happy to discuss them with you. I can be reached at 800-843-2103.
Sincerely,
Greg Hodgen
Groendyke Transport President
